Memorable Experience

One of the most impactful experiences I’ve had at Careworks involved supporting an injured employee who was employed as a butcher at a local grocery store. Initially, he was highly resistant to participating in our transitional work services program. However, after being placed with a local nonprofit organization, his perspective began to shift. He not only found fulfillment in the volunteer work, but he also developed a strong connection with the organization.

“Years later, after retiring from his butcher role, he chose to continue volunteering at the same nonprofit!”

Power of Choice

I approach every decision with the intention of creating a positive and meaningful impact in the lives of our injured employees. The “power of choice” means recognizing that even small decisions, how we communicate, how we advocate and how we design program. It can influence outcomes in profound ways. I strive to make choices that empower recovery, foster trust, and uphold the dignity of those we serve. By consistently choosing collaboration, empathy, integrity, and innovation, I believe we can elevate the standard of care across the industry.

Being the Right Fit for Careworks

I was drawn to Careworks because of its unwavering commitment to improving the lives of the clients and injured employees we serve. From the outset, it was clear that this mission is not just a statement, it’s a guiding principle that reaches every level of the organization. Our mission statement exemplifies this, and I’ve seen firsthand how it shapes our culture, our decisions, and our approach to care. Working in an environment where compassion and impact are prioritized has proven that Careworks is where I’m meant to be. I am proud to be part of an organization that prioritizes the needs of our injured employees ahead of everything else.
